Randy Chapman

 

Background

Randy brings a wealth of business management and technical skills to our team. He was an important part of the establishment and development of one of Maritime Life’s largest national brokerage accounts, from inception. Randy introduced a financial planning model in multiple provinces and managed the program for several participating credit unions. Leading this program, Randy recruited 95 credit unions to participate, with 21 financial advisors providing financial planning advice to the credit union members. Over 3 to 4 years, this organization attracted over $100 million in assets under administration, which in fact was equivalent to many of the mid- range to small credit unions in the province. In addition to this, strong revenue flow from this asset base was provided to the credit unions and the parent company, Cumis Life.

In future roles with supplier companies like Maritime Life, Randy was responsible for delivering $7-$12 million of revenue flow annually to the supplier companies from his particular region such as Southwestern Ontario for Maritime Life or Western Canada for BMO Insurance.

On the heels of these success stories, Randy assisted in the development and implementation of numerous in-house programs including a statistical/standards program, on-line communications for administrative functions and career paths for internal staff. Randy’s resume includes several successful executive management roles with Maritime Life Assurance Company, Rice Financial, Wellington West Financial Services Inc.

and most recently in a Vice-Presidency role for BMO Insurance whereby his management capabilities spanned to all operations throughout Western Canada. Of interest, Randy also held a Vice-Presidency position for GAMA-Canada in the past.
